Car Insurance MINI (Car Insurance). Does a 2006 Saab 9-3 factory head unit have RCA outputs?Does a 2006 Saab 9-3 factory head unit have RCA outputs? I have an 06 Saab 9-3 2.0T and want to put an amp in for 6x9's that I put in the rear deck. Does anyone know if there are factory RCA outputs on the radio? Automobiles with factory outboard amps use standard conductors, just like the ones used in the rest of a vehicle's wiring harness. Your radio doesn't have RCA outputs. When adapting an aftermarket amp for use with a factory installed head unit[w/o factory installed, outboard amp(s)], you would use the speaker wires from head unit, connected to a speaker level to line level, output converter. 1-800-319-8264 Call them and ask. MINI . 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix Remote Start InstructionsThe last year of the old-style Grand Priz body, the 2004 model is equipped with the same remote start capabilities as the newer models introduced in 2005. Once your remote starter is installed and programmed on the computer, you can use the device's many features from within your house or outside in the parking lot or street. By using the remote, you can warm up the car, have the doors and trunk opened for you or use the panic alarm to scare away others or help you find the vehicle. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Step by Step : 1 Turn the car off and make sure the keys are not in the ignition. The doors must also be closed. 2 Press the lock button on your remote twice and wait until your car sounds its locking alert. 3 Push and hold the car starter button on your remote until the car starts and release the button. The car will run for ten minutes unless it is manually started or the starter is turned off. You can start the car as your normally would, by turning the keys in the ignition. 4 Press the lock button again while the automatic starter is on and press and hold the starter button on your remote to turn the car's engine off before ten minutes elapses. 5 Restart the car by pressing the lock button and starter button again on your remote.
MINI . How to Open Your BMW KeyIt's frustrating to find that your BMW does not unlock when the button on the integrated remote key is pressed. While the alarm may be disarmed by opening the door with the key in the traditional manner and the vehicle may be started, a non-functional remote is an inconvenience. BMW does not repair or service keys, but dealers will order a new key, which can be expensive, and then have it cut especially for your car. It may be just a dead battery. Regardless, you will have to get the remote open first. A few simple tricks may allow you to save your seemingly dead integrated remote BMW key from the trash. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Hair dryer Needle-nose vice grips or pliers Utility knife with dull blade Assortment of small flat-bladed screwdrivers Leather work gloves Clamp Replacement VL2020 battery Step by Step : 1 Verify that the key's battery needs to be replaced by driving around for an hour using the presumed defective key. The battery in the integrated remote is rechargeable and charges in the ignition when the car is on. Often, a key will lose its charge when it has been sitting unused for an extended amount of time. Attempt to lock the doors with the remote button on the key after trying to recharge it. Proceed to the next step if this has not solved the problem. 2 Heat the key uniformly using a hair dryer on medium while wearing protective leather gloves and safety glasses, if you do not have an older model key that you may simply unscrew. The two halves of the key are glued together with a urethane adhesive that must be softened before attempting separation. Heat the key to the point where it is uncomfortable to touch but not where it could cause a burn. Adjust the position of the key constantly so that it is heated evenly without any hot spots. 3 Hold it by the metal key portion using needle-nose vice grips. Don't use too much force and scratch the key's finish. Insert the dull utility blade between the base of the metallic portion of the key and one of the plastic side casings. Pry the casing outward slightly using the dull knife blade until a small gap forms around the entire key. 4 Leave the blade in place while you remove the vice grips. Use several small flat-bladed screwdrivers to pry around the periphery of the key to slowly tear the adhesive bond on the case. If the key has cooled and the case is no longer separating, re-heat with the blow dryer as necessary. The adhesive should turn to a gum-like consistency above 125 degrees Fahrenheit. 5 Remove the rechargeable battery once the case is successfully opened. The battery is a three volt Panasonic VL2020 cell that may be found at online vendors and specialty battery stores. Reinstall the replacement battery. Prior to re-sealing the key, test it to ensure that you replaced the battery properly and it's working. Additional re-heating of the key should soften the old adhesive to the point that the key can simply be clamped together and let cool to set. Tips & Warnings Recruit a helper to assist with the prying stage of separating the cover. One can apply the heat and the other can pry it open. Do not attempt this procedure without proper personal protection equipment. Batteries can rupture or even explode when heated excessively, always use caution and apply the least amount of heat possible. Make sure you have a spare replacement key available before starting your repair, as this procedure could potentially damage the RFID chip in the key that allows the car to start. Some light trucks and vans have a two-wheel anti- lock braking system on the rear wheels that maintains directional stability. Although the front wheels can still lock up, the vehicle will continue to move in a straight line. With just enough pressure applied to the brake pedal, the driver can control the steering. You find four-wheel anti-lock braking systems on other light trucks and cars. These prevent all four wheels from locking up, which enables you to maintain steerability in emergency stopping situations. If no impending lockup occurs, the ABS stays in standby mode. Hort ABS u/orks Here's how an anti-lock brake system operates: A microprocessor, called an anti-lock brake computer, monitors the speed of each wheel with an electronic component called a speed sensor. When you apply firm pressure to the brake pedal, the system triggers electronic solenoids to trap or release hydraulic pressure to each wheel independently, thousands of times faster than if you pumped the brake pedal as you would with ordinary brakes. You can usually 190 MINI . Give a brief explanation on the principle of the regulator?

While the system is working, it's important to keep your foot pressed firmly on the pedal until the car stops. If the anti-lock system has a problem, an amber light on the dashboard goes on, and normal braking without anti-lock takes over. So if your amber anti-lock light illuminates, remember that you still have normal brakes. Just pump them and steer in the proper direction as though you'd never head of ABS. And be sure to get the ABS fixed as soon as possible! What ABS doesn't do ABS cannot prevent all skids, nor does it always stop your car in a shorter distance. Although ABS does help you maintain steering, your vehicle may not turn as quickly on a slippery road as it would on dry pavement. A combi nation of excessive speed, sharp turns, and slamming on the brakes can still throw an ABS-equipped vehicle into a skid. Therefore, it's important to keep a safe distance between your vehi cle and the one in front of you, and to try to maintain a constant speed rather than jamming on the brakes at the last minute. toitinq With ABS Do not pump your brake pedal if your vehicle has anti-lock brakes. Instead, use firm pressure on the brake pedal, keep steering, and let the microprocessor do the work for you. If your car has anti-lock brakes, it's a good idea to know what they feel like when they are operating normally. Find an empty parking lot on a rainy or snowy day and slam on the brakes, noticing how your vehicle responds. Keep your foot firmly on the pedal and get a feel for steering while they are operating. Then you'll know what to expect in a panicky situation. Chapter 18 shows you how to check your anti-lock braking system; a professional must do adjustments and repairs. Chapter 11 MINI .
